Fermilab Village The Village is located near the East entrance to Fermilab (Batavia Road), containing a number of construction labs as well as housing for students and other visitors. Appendix A has a map of the village. The Housing office is located in the Aspen East House, Batavia Road and Sauk Boulevard. See more about this in the Getting Around Fermilab chapter.
The Users Center, the Kuhn Barn, the laundry and vending machines are located on Sauk Boulevard. The Users Center is open from Monday to Friday from 6PM to 12PM. It has a TV/video room, 2 pool tables and a tennis table, a restaurant â€œChez Leonâ€ which opens Wednesdays for lunch and Thursdays for dinner. The Users center also has a wide piano room and a bar. The Kuhn Barn is used for all kinds of parties and for dance classes.
The laundry and vending machines are located across the street of the Users center. The laundry facility has also a small room with a piano. To be able to use it you should ask for the key at the housing office.
The Gym and the sports courts are located also at the village. To be able to get into the Gym you will need to have a magnetic card. You will have to pay an annual fee at the recreation office to get one. You will find more information at the Recreation section of this guide.
The Day care is also located at the village. It opens at 7AM and closes at 5PM. The laboratories which are located at the village are: Lab 1, Lab 2, Lab 3, Lab 4, Lab 5, Lab 5 Pole Bldg., Lab 6, Lab 7, and Lab 8.
